Estates & large collections

Too Many Boxes To Haul? We'll Pick Them Up.

For collections of about 10 boxes or more, we come to you for free. Have everything boxed or bagged and ready to load before we arrive. You don't need to sort anything, since we do that at our warehouse.

  • Estate cleanouts and move-outs
  • Home libraries and collectors
  • Storage units and garages
  • Used bookstore and media store closeouts

Working against a closing date or move-out deadline? Tell us in the request and we'll do our best to fit it.

We'll reply to confirm a pickup date.

For libraries, schools & thrift stores

Clearing Shelves? Let's Work Together.

Weeded collections, leftover book-sale stock, old classroom libraries, and thrift store overflow are all welcome. We pick up large boxed loads and keep usable books in circulation instead of the dumpster.

Library Weeding

Ex-library copies with stamps, stickers, and jackets are fine.

Book Sale Leftovers

Send us what didn't sell after your Friends of the Library sale.

School Book Rooms

Outdated textbooks and classroom sets, boxed and picked up in bulk.

Thrift Store Overflow

Books and media your sales floor can't use, picked up on a regular schedule.

Set Up A Pickup Partnership

Tell us a little about your organization and what you usually have. We'll reach out to set up a pickup schedule that works for you.

  • One-time cleanouts or ongoing pickups
  • No sorting needed, just box it up
  • Free for libraries, schools, and nonprofits

We'll reply within a few business days.

For wholesalers, distributors & publishers

Selling In Bulk? We Buy By The Gaylord.

Besides donations, we buy books and media in volume. If you move inventory by the pallet or the gaylord, we'd like to hear from you.

Gaylords & Pallets

Mixed or sorted loads of books, DVDs, CDs, and games from thrift, salvage, and recycling sources.

Distributors

We buy new books and media at wholesale for resale, and we're looking for ongoing relationships with distributors.

Publisher Overstock

Remainders and excess print runs from publishers of any size.

Email info@legacyenterpriseco.com with what you have, rough quantities, and where it's located.

After drop-off

Where Your Donation Goes

We're a small resale business. We scan each item one by one, and very little of what you bring ends up in a landfill.

New Readers

Most items are listed online and shipped to buyers around the country.

Partner Buyers

Items we can't list ourselves go to book buyback programs and collectors.

Recycling

Damaged books that can't be read again are recycled for paper.

Do You Offer Free Book Pickup?

Yes, for about 10 boxes or more across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire. Everything needs to be boxed or bagged and ready to load before we arrive; we don't box items up on site. Use the pickup request form and we'll reply to confirm a date.

Is My Donation Tax-Deductible?

No. Legacy Enterprise Co. is a resale business, not a nonprofit, so we can't provide tax receipts. If you need a deduction, a local library or thrift charity is a better fit.

About 10 boxes or more, packed and ready to load before we arrive. We don't box items up on site. Smaller amounts are always welcome at our warehouse, with no minimum and no appointment.

Do You Take Textbooks, Encyclopedias And Old Library Books?

Yes. Textbooks, encyclopedia sets, ex-library copies with stamps and stickers, and leftover book-sale stock are all welcome.

Do I Need To Sort Or Clean Anything?

No sorting needed. Just keep items dry and leave out anything on the "What We Can't Use" list.

Can I Donate Books With Writing Or Highlighting?

Yes. Light notes, highlighting, and library markings are fine. We'll sort out what we can use.

Do I Have To Sign Anything?

No. There's nothing to sign and nothing to buy.
